Related to Hem Ben Yem. May have had three brothers: Hem Ben Yem, Ah Wing and Wah Yim (or War Jim?) who all worked for Ah Ling.
Husband of Zena Elizabeth Flynn and father of Josephine Deborah (born 1916, BDM 101390/1916) and George Benjamin (born 1919, BDM 100694/1919).

Owner and manager of a shop at 815 Hay St, Perth, from at least 1903. Owned property in Perth.

In 1919 worked for Ah Young in Barrack Street, Perth.
In 1919, lived at 100 Park St, Subiaco (West Australian, 22 March 1919, p. 1).
