Biographical informationAh Wing (4) (亞文) was born in July 1867 in Fookin, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1897. He may have been the brother of Hem Ben Yem, Wong Ah Yem and George Shom.

Between 1916 and 1919, Ah Wing worked as a market gardener for Hem Ben Yem at Burswood, Ah Wah at Albany, Ah Gooey's market garden at Charles Street, Perth and for Lee Tip in Havelock Street, West Perth.
