Biographical informationAlbert James Chung Ah Sue was born on the 18th April 1918 in Northam, Western Australia. He was the son of Ah Sue (4) and Ivy Mary Gertrude Dale. He grew up in York, Western Australia. He was five feet six and three quarter inches in height.
He attended York State School and played football and cricket and was a competitive swimmer.
In February 1942 he enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force and served as an Aircraftsman Sergeant in WW2. He was discharged in October 1945. At the time of enlistment he gave his profession as "labourer" - he was working at the Mount Lyall Super Works, Rocky Bay, North Fremantle. He gave his second occupation as "boat builder". He was living with his mother at 14 Albert Road, North Fremantle.
He married twice, first in Fremantle in 1938 (BDM 1938/128) to Marjorie Joyce King (b. 1922, South Bunbury); second in Busselton in 1945 (BDM 1945/22) to Marjorie May Foord (b. 1924, Busselton; d. 2023, Busselton).
He had five children:
1) James Albert Sue (b. 1939 Fremantle; d. 2010 South Perth) - also served in the RAAF and fractures his skull in a road accident in 1955.
2) Yvonne Marjorie Sue (m. 1965, Busselton - James Robert Bishop)
3) Kenneth Sue
4) Jeanette Sue
5) Lynette Sue
