Description

Biographical informationMay Lee Wood was born in Perth 1902, eldest daughter of Lee Wood and Hop Lin Jong.

She was educated at Princess May School in Fremantle and grew up at the family home in 11 Tiverton Street, Highgate.

She married Timothy See Chiew in 1922. They had at least six children: 1) Lennard Timothy Chiew (b. 1922); 2) Doreen Verna Chiew (b. 1924); 3) William Chiew (b. 1925); 4) Elvie Chiew (b. 1927); 5) Leslie Chiew (b. 1928, d. 1989); 6) Frank Chiew (b. 1931). The family lived in Robinson Avenue, Perth.

May died on 14th July 1982 in West Perth and was buried in Karrakatta Cemetery.Date of birth1902Date of death14th July 1982
