Biographical informationSee Chiew, Timothy (aka Lee Chiew) was born in August 1882 in China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1898. He was five feet three and three quarter inches in height.
He was a shop keeper at Perth in 1911 (E). He worked in the Wing Kee store, 143 James Street, Perth, in 1916. In 1918 he moved to Ah Woo's shop at 949 Hay Street, Perth, then to George Way's store at 386 William Street, Perth, in 1921 (B).
He married May Lee Wood in 1922. They had at least six children: 1) Lennard Timothy Chiew (b. 1922); 2) Doreen Verna Chiew (b. 1924); 3) William Chiew (b. 1925); 4) Elvie Chiew (b. 1927); 5) Leslie Chiew (b. 1928, d. 1989); 6) Frank Chiew (b. 1931). The family lived in Robinson Avenue, Perth.
He travelled overseas between January 1911 and June 1912 (D).
