Biographical informationCHONG, Charlotte Alice (née McGregor) was born in 1893 in Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia. She was the daughter of William McGregor (1858-1935) and Mary Elizabeth Treble (1864-1930).
She married CHONG John William in November 1910 in Castlemaine, Victoria and they had at least five children:
1) John (Jack) William McGregor Chong (b. 1911 Rushworth, Victoria, d. 1937 Youanmi, Western Australia);
2) Gertrude Victoria Chong (b. 1912 Bunbury, Western Australia, d. 1997 Geraldton, Western Australia);
3) James Calvin Chong (b. 1916 Echuca, Victoria, d. 1980 Gold Coast, Queensland);
4) Florence Elizabeth May Chong (aka Que) (b. 1917 Narrandera, New South Wales, d. 1995, Parramatta, New South Wales);
5) William Henry Chong (aka Que) (b. 1919 Narraburra, New South Wales, d. 1986 Sydney, New South Wales).
She travelled to Western Australia with CHONG John William and John's mother Emma for a few months in 1912. She was in Bunbury in December 1912 when she gave birth to Gertrude Victoria Chong.
She returned to Rushworth, Victoria. Sometime before 1827 she divorced CHONG John William. In 1927 she married again, to QUE John Joseph in Narrandera, New South Wales. She had two more children. Their home was in Hillston, New South Wales.
