Edward Albert Stone

Biographical informationEdward Albert Stone, solicitor (1844-1920), was the son of George Frederick Stone, Attorney General of Western Australia. He entered into a partnership with Septimus Burt in the legal firm "Stone & Burt".

He leased some of the family's land in South Perth, to Ah Ling (1) in the 1890s. This became the Ah Ling & Co. South Perth Market Garden. He also leased land to Wang Ah Key.

Edward Stone owned Location 438 in Canning (now Kalamunda) and had his residence there. He employed Ah Wong (6) as a general servant in the 1890s, almost certainly on this property.

On 12th October 1910 he laid the foundation stone for the Chung Wah Association Building in James Street.Date of birth1844Date of death1920
