Biographical informationWing Wor Kee was born in Canton, China in about 1857 (although 1860 on Certificate of Domicile papers). He migrated to Western Australia in 1886. His wife, two sons and a daughter, remained in China. Was proprietor, with Ah Wing of the Wing War Kee shop at 8 South Terrace, Fremantle, and the Wing Kee shop at Adelaide Street, Fremantle. His wife was living with him in Fremantle in 1901. Bannister St. Fremantle.
He took over the garden of Ah Yong (6) at Bibra Lake in partnership with Ah Foo (6) and Ming Wah in 1901 (A). In 1909 he leased land from C. J. Ahearn. Cockburn, until 1915 when he moved to Albany and worked on the Wing Kee garden in Middleton Rd (I). In 1919 he worked on a garden at Sawyers Valley (B). He travelled overseas four times: July 1901 to June 1902; June 1903 to October 1905; May to September 1919; and August 1922 to July 1923 (D).
