Biographical informationAh Cum was born in about 1848. He migrated to Western Australia in 1878.
He was sentenced to three years imprisonment for larceny of stores on board a ship in April 1878. Whilst in jail he was asked to interpret for W. Dale and Ah Thou. On release from prison in May 1880, Ah Cum was employed by Sir Thomas Cockburn-Campbell.
