Biographical informationYuen Albert Roy was born at Mascot in New South Wales on 21 July 1924 (BDM A4572/1924). He was the son of Yuen Kum and Maggie Yuen. He was five feet five inches in height.
He joined the Royal Australian Air Force in WW2 in August 1943. He was single at that time and was living with his parents at 243 Newcastle Street in Perth. He gave his occupation as "Business Manager" and had worked for two years as a French polisher for his father. He was a British subject.
He was discharged from the Air Force in April 1946. His stated reason was that his brother, William, had been managing the family furniture making business, but that he now had eye trouble and was unable to continue managing the firm. After some deliberations he was discharged and took over the management of the family furniture making and polishing factory, J. W. Wing & Co., at 235 Newcastle Street, Perth.
In 1947 he married Norah Meldrum Faurnier in Perth.

He died in September 2017 and was cremated at Pinnaroo Valley.Date of birth24th July 1924
