Biographical informationWong Quey Hay was born in 1910 or 1911 in China. She was the daughter of Felix Wong. She was the half-sister of Peter Kam Yen Wong, Fred Bain Quan Wong and Charlie Bain Quan Wong. She was also known as Sheila Wong.

She arrived in Broome in May 1921 with her mother and half-brother Peter and allowed to remain in Australia under exemption. After several extensions were granted, she returned to China in January 1924 per SS Gascoyne.
