Biographical informationCharles Hoson Stanley Lums, known as "Ossie" to his friends was born on the 20th December 1911, son of Lums Charles and Emily Antoinette Hoson.

Before WW2 he assisted his father in running the family grocer shop at 435 Hay Street, Subiaco.

He served the Perth Battalion in WW2, joining in March 1942 and sustained a knee injury in July 1942.

In January 1943 he married Dellace Myra Fong. They lived at 135 Broadway, Nedlands. They had no children.
