Listed in York 1859 Census as well established farmer & grazier at "Marley" with 7 servants. Hon. Sec. York Agric. Soc. 1860- 1870s. Held a pastoral lease on Salt River 1850s & was joint partner with brother Edward at "Boorunul", Mount Stirling. Employed 7 T/L men on occasions 1865-1876 at "Cobham" & "Broadlands" including a
