Biographical informationMcRAE, Duncan was born in Victoria. He was a seamen & pearler, living at Cossack (1880-1886 Alm). He owned the lugger "Dawn" and employed Jack Wells onboard his lugger.
He was also a sheep farmer, owing Moontiarra (Malay for Pearl or Pearl Shell) Station, in the Hamersley Ranges (1887- 9 Alm). In 1911 he owned Hamersley Station, Coolawanyah Station and Croydon Stations in partnership with C.M. Straker. He died in Melbourne in 1925.
