Biographical informationRobert James Hanlon(1839-1909), was transported as a convict per Palmerston. He was convicted of stealing from the person and sentenced to 10 years on 5 April 1858 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England. He employed De Atta between 1881 and 1883. He was the licensee of the Shamrock and the Victoria Hotels in Geraldton.
