Washing Brothers Furniture Factory, Perth

Description

DescriptionWashing Brothers Furniture Factory was originally located at 271 Murray Street, Perth, before moving to 407 (originally numbered as 435) Murray Street.

The business moved to other locations, including 323-333 Newcastle Street around 1925, and 321 Newcastle Street.

In July 1905, the business partnership of Charles and Ernest (under the name of Washing Brothers) was dissolved with Charles continuing the business at 435 Murray St, Perth. (West Australian, 28 July 1905, p. 1.)

It is believed that from 1914 they only employed European labour.
