DescriptionThe Emanuel family had a series of stations along the Fitzroy River, Kimberley.
Brothers Isadore Samuel Emanuel (1860-1954) and Sydney Phillip Emanuel (1861-1919) were sent to the Kimberley by their father Solomon Emanuel in the early 1880s. Between them they set up Noonkanbah, Meda, Gogo (Margaret Downs) and Lower Liveringa stations. By 1902 the family wholly or partly owned more than 51,800 square kilometres of the Kimberley region.
