Biographical informationFong Ah Ho was born in about 1861 in China. He came to work in Western Australia as an indentured labourer in 1886.
He was employed by Sydney Phillip Emanuel, of Derby, to work as a cook at the 'home camp' on his Station (Margaret Downs Station) in March 1886.
He died from suspected malaria on 3 May 1886 (C) on the Mary River at Margaret Downs Station (now Gogo Station), east of Hall's Creek. His only possessions were two blankets, a bag and clothing.
