Biographical informationGeorge Julius Brockman, was born 2 January 1850 in Western Australia to Robert James Brockman and Elizabeth. In 1866 he went to Busselton and worked for 3 yrs for Gale cattle hunting, then as foreman for B.R. Prinsep. He employed seven Ticket of Leave men between 1868-1872 at Busselton. In 1875 he travelled to the pearling grounds and became a pastoralist managing stations at Roebourne for Anderson, Richardson, etc . Bought and sold Yule River Station in the Kimberleys and established "Meda Station" etc on Fitzroy River district and to "Minilya" and Gascoyne 1888 . He bought property in Champion Bay district and supplied butchering trade to goldfields. Sold his interests about 1904 and travelled extensively overseas before retiring to Guildford. Employed Iu A Keng, Lim Ah Nio and Quan Ah Ing. He died 29 August 1912.Date of birth1850Date of death1912
