Biographical informationYuen Kow was born in Canton in 1880 or 1881. He arrived in Melbourne in 1897 and spent 6 years in Victoria.
He arrived in Western Australia in 1906 and worked as a Cabinet Maker for various companies including See Wah & Co. in Dyer Street, West Perth.
He travelled overseas between February 1916 and April 1917 and also February 1923 and June 1924.
He left WA in March 1930 and travelled to Sydney. He then moved to Hong Kong and was there when World War II broke out. In the evacuation of Hong Kong he lost all his possessions. In 1947 he submitted an application to return to Western Australia.
