DescriptionSam Sing Laundry was started by Ah Sing (39). Most Chinese laundries operated from leased premises and as a result moved location fairly often. It is believed the laundry commenced in Murray Street (opposite Levi Green's), Perth, in 1896; moved to 261 Murray Street around 1900; moved to 428 Beaufort Street around 1904 and by 1909 had moved to 188 Murray Street.
It was owned by Ah Sing between 1896 and 1900. In 1908 its proprietors were listed as Lee Wood, Lee Wah (2) (Lee Wye) and Lee Mook at 188 Murray Street, Perth.
