Biographical informationYuen Bow was born in September 1884, Canton, China (1887 on his war registration paperwork in 1939). He migrated to Victoria, Australia in 1901 and then to Western Australia in 1929. He was five feet two inches in height. His wife (b. 1895) remained in China.
He worked as a French polisher in the J. W. Wing Furniture Factory. He established the Nanking Cafe, Barrack Street, Perth, in partnership with Kum Yuen. He lived at 9 Yarwood Place, Perth.
