Biographical informationWong Yook was born in November 1881 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1899. He was five feet six and a half inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener in Suburban Road, South Perth, from at least 1916 (E). In 1934 he was working on the market gardens at lots 8 and 9 Suburban Road together with Wong Yone (aka Youe). They may have been related. These were lots previously managed by W. Ah Key & Co.
