Biographical informationWong Yone (aka Wong Youe) was born in February 1882 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1900. He was five feet five and a quarter inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener in Suburban Road, South Perth, from at least 1908 (E). In 1934 he was working on the market gardens at lots 8 and 9 Suburban Road together with Wong Yook. They may have been related. These were lots previously managed by W. Ah Key & Co.

He travelled overseas five times: February 1909 to May 1910; April 1917 to November 1918; February 1922 to July 1923; February 1927 to June 1928; and July 1930 to March 1933.
