Accrual policyPassiveAcquisition methodDonationOwnership and custodial history noteSeries 1 and 2 donated by Mrs Julie Heydon (grand-daughter of Hugh McMahon) in 1998. The collection was secured from Mr Heydon by Sir Charles Court who performed under McMahon’s baton and advocated his historical significance and the importance of this collection.
Series 3 is additional material received from Mrs Nano Healy and Mrs Lanie Allan (grand-daughters of Hugh McMahon) in 2004 who reached out to the Callaway Centre (formerly CIRMCE) directly. At the request of the family these manuscripts – Series 3 - have been kept separate from the original 1998 consignment.
The order of the items within Series 1-3 is alphabetical and has been imposed by the Archive.
Series 4 is material donated by Mark Heydon, great-grandson of Hugh McMahon.
Series 5 is a single photograph donated by Mr Robert (Bob) Denis Murphy (through Sir Charles Court) and a letter from Sir Charles Court about the photograph.
