Biographical informationWong Choon (aka Wong Thoon) was born in January 1879 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1899.

He worked on San Lee's Market Garden, Osborne Park in 1916 and 1918, Stone's Market Garden, South Perth in 1917 and 1919 and Ah Suo's Market Garden, York in 1920.

He traded as Wong Thoon. He was the first market gardener in York to own a truck to take his vegetables to the wholesale markets in Perth. He employed Chen Hoy (4) to assist him in the market garden.
