Biographical informationChen Hoy (4) was born in 1881 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1899. He was five feet and nine inches in height. He was the brother of Chen Hung.

He worked as a hawker residing at Swan Street, North Fremantle, in 1923. He moved to York in 1924 and worked for Wong Choon for several years then started his own market garden (M).
