Biographical informationMong Chong was born in about 1870 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1898. He was five feet and eight inches in height.
He leased a market garden in Beaufort Street, Perth, along with Ah Yick (8) from about 1898 to 1907. The land belonged to a Mr W Waldock.
In 1910 was still working as a market gardener at Perth. By 1914 he had moved to Bayswater (E).
