Biographical informationLow King (aka Charlie King) was born in July 1879 in Canton, China. His parents were Low King and May Fong (or Fongue?) (BDM 1957/066). He migrated to Western Australia in February 1898.
He married Millicent Capps in 1911 in Perth.
He and Millicent ran a greengrocers shop and lived at Fitzgerald Street in Northam from at least 1916 until the mid 1930s. He also had a market garden and later lived at Burlong Road, West Northam from at least 1934 to 1939 (M).
In February 1948 he had a narrow escape when his truck collided with a diesel train at the Burn Street rail crossing in Northam. He was unhurt but his truck was seriously damaged (Northam News, 11th February 1948, pg 1).
