Biographical informationKum Oy Moon Ying (aka Kum Oy Wan Ying) was born in October 1878 in Canton, China. She migrated to Western Australia from Melbourne, Victoria, in July 1897. She was the mother of Lillian, born 1895 in Melbourne, Victoria.

She was living with her daughter, Lilly, and son-in-law, Peter Moon, at 176 Palmerston Street, Perth, in 1916 (B). Peter and Lilly had married in 1915 in Perth (Reg# 100035). The maiden name of Lilly was given on her marriage record as "Bart", so it is possible that Kum Oy Moon Ying was married to a Mr Bart.
