Biographical informationGok Dean was born in about 1867 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1890. He was five feet six inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener at Bardeen, Northam, from at least 1908 to 1919 when he moved to Perth and worked for Wing Hing & Co., William Street, Perth.
