Biographical informationDan Che Lin was born in June 1872 in Hi Lung, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1887. He was just under five feet and four inches in height. He was the husband of Dan Che Lin Kiko and father of Rikuo Kanako.
He was working as a store keeper at Broome in 1899 when he applied for a CEDT. He owned and managed a billiards saloon in Carnarvon Street, Broome, in 1916. He was recorded as a shell cleaner in 1925.
He travelled overseas from January to November 1919. He left again in December 1919 before his CEDT could be approved and with temporary paperwork was allowed to re-enter in August 1920. He again left in September 1920 before a CEDT could be approved and returned in July 1921. He also travelled between December 1924 and May 1925 and appears to have returned to China permanently in September 1925.
