Biographical informationDan A Si (陳亞四) was born in about 1845 in Bun Sio, Hailam [Hainan Island], China (文昌縣). He migrated to Western Australia in March 1890.

He was recruited in Singapore to work as a cook under contract to J. W. Andrew, Roebourne, for £3 3s 4d per month for two years.

In January 1891, Dan A Si was working for Fred Wells on Millstream Station. He was called to serve as a witness at the inquest on Chin Lain who committed suicide by hanging on 9 January 1891 at Millstream Station (C).Other nameDan A Si (differentiated name)陳亞四Date of birth1845
