Biographical informationDan A Si (陳亞四) was born in about 1845 in Bun Sio, Hailam [Hainan Island], China (文昌縣). He migrated to Western Australia in March 1890.
He was recruited in Singapore to work as a cook under contract to J. W. Andrew, Roebourne, for £3 3s 4d per month for two years.
