Biographical informationAh Yuen was born in October 1872 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1895. He was five feet two and three quarter inches in height.
He worked as a cabinet maker in Perth in 1910 (E). In 1914, he worked as a market gardener in Jones Street, Osborne Park. He returned to cabinet making in 1918 and worked at the Lee Fay Furniture Factory, 45 Marquis Street, Perth, in 1918. In 1919 he resided at 76 Melbourne Road, Perth (B).
Ah Yuen travelled overseas three times: March 1910 to June 1912; June 1915 to September 1918; and May 1921 to July 1923.
