Description

Biographical informationAh Wing (14) was born in about 1885 in Canton, China. He was the son of Ah Chuck (4). His mother died some time before 1898. In 1898 his father applied to have Ah Wing and his younger sibling join him in Western Australia and went to fetch them from China but when they go to Singapore the children were found to be ill and returned to China where the youngest subsequently died. In 1900 Ah Chuck applied for an immigration certificate for Ah Wing to join him in Western Australia which was granted and the certificate handed to Charlie Ling On. Ah Wing arrived in Western Australia 8 November 1901 per "Australind".
He was five feet five and a quarter inches in height.

He was working as a market gardener at Guildford in 1910 (E).
