Biographical informationAh Tue was born in November 1869 in Bun Sio, Hainan Island, China. He migrated to Western Australia in July 1889. He was about five feet eight and a half inches in height.
He was recruited in Singapore to work as a cook for two years for Joseph Blythe at Derby. Ah Tue was given an advance of S$54 and received S$18 a month (C).
In August 1903 Ah Tue was living in Carnarvon with a Japanese woman named Tunnie. Tunnie was shot dead by Ah Hook and Ah Tue was also shot but survived.
In 1903 Ah Tue was employed as a stationhand and teamster by Burt on Yinnetharra Station, Gascoyne (B). He travelled overseas from April 1913 until July 1915. He returned to Yinnetharra Station, Gascoyne and stayed there until he left Western Australia in April 1918.
