Biographical informationAh Shoo was born in April 1873 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1889. He was over five feet and ten inches in height.
He was brought in and employed by Lee Shing, a grocer in Murray Street, Perth, in 1889 to work as a gardener in Wanneroo Road, together with Ah Yid. He may be related to Ah Yid. He travelled back to China together with Ah Yid in 1898.
He worked as a market gardener in South Perth when he applied for naturalisation in 1898. This was refused but an application for a CEDT was approved in the same year (C).
He worked as a market gardener at Osborne Park in 1912 and at Bibra Lake in 1916. He resided in Woolwich Street, Leederville, in 1925 (E).
