He worked as a market gardener at Leederville. He was noted as literate in Chinese but not English.
He travelled overseas from 4 May 1899 per "SS Karrakatta" to 26 April 1900 returning per "SS Sultan".
He resided with Kie Haw Hay at 283 Hay Street, Perth, in 1906. He was recorded as a vegetable hawker and market gardener in Britannia Street, Leederville, in 1914. In 1916, he worked in Bourke Street, Leederville.
He travelled overseas in April 1906 and sought a one-year extension in February 1908 but returned within the required three-year period in September 1908. He travelled again between and May 1914 to October 1915. He travelled to China in May 1927 and does not appear to have returned to Australia.
