Biographical informationAh Leng was born in about 1863 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1887.

He worked as a general dealer at Roebourne and Cossack. He applied for naturalisation in July 1890. Ah Leng's application was refused on the grounds that it would enable him to own part of a pearling plant which was currently in the name of Ah Ling (1).

In 1897 he moved to Perth and leased a market garden from H. Gull at Guildford in partnership with Ah Sing (2). He applied for a CEDT in April 1899 (C).Other nameAh Leng (differentiated name)Date of birth1863
