Biographical informationAh Folk arrived at Port Walcott, Pilbara, on 30th July 1879 per "Pet", with two other Chinese, Eng Ah Sing and Tan Ah Lak, to work for MacKay (McKay) Bros, in the Roebourne district. Ah Folk was reported as having been ill for 13 months before being dismissed from MacKay's employment. He was admitted to the Roebourne Police Station on 18 December 1880 as a pauper. He was maintained at the Police Station until April 1881 when he was sent to the Mount Eliza Depot in Perth.
