Biographical informationAh Coo migrated to Cossack with 27 other Chinese on the 'Pet' from Singapore on 13 September 1880.
He worked for Alexander William Pead for three days before injuring his foot. Soon after he was sent, with three other Chinese, to work for Joseph Charles Clarkson. Ah Coo absconded from Clarkson's employment in December 1880, claiming he had been horsewhipped. He spent four months in Roebourne until he was sent to Perth to enter the Mount Eliza Depot as a pauper in April 1881.
