The University Library’s Special Collections contain a diverse range of rare and unique materials. They provide fascinating insight into areas including Australian literature, history and theatre, Western Australian indigenous culture, Indian Ocean maritime history and the University.

The collections include letters and diaries, manuscripts for notable literary works, historical maps, early printed books, medieval manuscripts and an array of other interesting formats.

The Library is committed to the ongoing digitisation of the Special Collections to ensure their accessibility and preservation.
