DescriptionThis passport paper was attached to the English travel visa document issued by the Consulate General in Canton, China to Kwong Sam Kee on 18th June 1921. Whilst the English document contained details specific to Kwong Sam Kee, this Chinese document in fact related to Fong Hing who was travelling with Kwong Sam Kee.
There are a number of possible explanations for this. The Chinese document belonging to Kwong Sam Kee might have become confused in the British filing system or in the subsequent Australian immigration file (more likely).
