Biographical informationAH CHEONG (13) was the son of Tung Kee and was born in Canton in 1878 to Tung Kee. He arrived inWestern Australia 4 October 1900 from Melbourne per 'Marloo" to look after his father's market garden in Wanneroo for 18 months while his father visited his aging parents in China.
AH CHEONG (13) was a scholar at the Church of Christ Chinese Mission school in Melbourne and had lived in Victoria since approximately 1898.
He was vouched for by F. McLean of the Church of Christ Mission School who wrote that Ah Cheong was "a thoroughly respectable man - cleanly and industrious in his habits, a truly law-abiding citizen"Date of birth1878
