Biographical informationErnest Sidney Dion was born 26 March 1917 in Wollongong.

On 14 January 1961 he married Shirley Moya Fong at St Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Sydney with a reception at the Orcades Reception Centre Bondi.

He and Shirley resided at Wollongong, New South Wales. They had one son, Sydney James Dion.
