Biographical informationCharles Hinds, born 1811 or 1812 in England. He migrated to Western Australia in January 1830 per "Wanstead". He was granted 1,400 acres Avon district in 1841. He was elected to Northam Town Trust in 1844 and appointed District Magistrate. He held a 4,000 acres pastoral lease. He advertised for a Chinese cook and gardener in 1848.
