Arrived 20.4.1841 per Henry with wife, sons William, George & Edward & daughters Agnes & Sophy. Children: 1) John b. 1820, d.1875 (Geelong NSW); 2) William b. 1821; 3) Henry b. 1822; 4) George b. 1824 d. 1931; 5) Edward b. 1827, d. 1853 (Melbourne); 6) Agnes (Mary); 7), Sophy. Widow & daughter left 24.12.1856 for South Australia per Augusta Kaufman.
Farmed at Picton, built a church 1842. Chaplain to district -1848: 1st Archdeacon WA 1849: Albany 1848- made 5 archidiaconal towns of settled areas of WA. Appointed Visiting Chaplain Albany Depot 12.1851. Author of "Picton Journals 1841-1844" & "Albany Journals 1848-1856". Commemorated in
1979 in a brass plaque in Perth pavement for year 1849.
