Biographical informationGeorge Fletcher Moore was born on 10 December 1798 in the United Kingdom. He arrived on 29 October 1829 per Cleopatra. In 1846 he married Fanny Mary Jane Jackson (1821-1863), the step daughter of Governor Clarke.
He selected 12,000 acres in 2 lots in Avon district and settled at "Millendon" Swan district. Lawyer by profession, he was apptd. Comm. of Civil Court 1832 and Advocate General 1834. Director of WA Bank. Member and Secretary of Guildford Agricultural . He was appointed Colonial Secretary of Colony in 1846. MLC 1834-52 and Justice of the Peace. He left the colony briefly 1in 841 and finally on 16 February 1852 per John Panter. He was the author of "Diary of Ten Years" and is commemorated in 1979 in a brass plaque in Perth pavement for year 1852.
He died on 30 December 1886 in London.
