Biographical informationChen Goey was born 1867 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in April 1891. He was five feet and four inches in height.

He was a partner in the Hang Lee Laundry, 240 William Street, Perth, from 1897 to 1908. He started a laundry at 9 South Terrace, Fremantle, with Ah Ying (5) in 1908. He worked in this laundry until at least 1921 (B).

He travelled overseas twice: August 1906 to July 1909; and September 1928 to January 1929 (D).Date of birth1867
