Biographical informationBorn in Scotland and From 1870s to 1906, owned Murchison House and large grazing station from the Murchison River up to Tamahlee, at Sharks Bay. He employed many Chinese labourers. Unable to swim, he drowned in Watts Pool, in the Murchison river near his home on 9 October 1906.
